Le Café Partisan                                        IN PRODUCTION

Our first new batch in over a year. A snuff celebrating the spirit of World War 2 French Partisans. A silky fine grind, with the scent of fresh ground French Espresso, the creamy aroma of almond baked pastries and the aura of a day gone by in a small village on the river Rhine.

Wild Oak (formerly Wild Oak Butterscotch)    IN PRODUCTION

Sweet, delicate, fresh butterscotch  flavor in a slightly moist, fine grind. Reminiscent of Grand Mother's cooking in early fall before helping harvest the crops. We would each receive a few drops of homemade butterscotch candy before going outside. We tied these memories and scents into our natural nasal snuff.

A snuff reminiscent of the East India Company and their collections of herbs, spices and fruits from the east indies. Stored and aged in wooden hogsheads for years on end until flavors have melded completely. Limited amounts will be made of this snuff.

Holmes' Office                                                             Discontinued - In Vault

The scent and vision one experiences upon entering the office and home of Mr.Sherlock Holmes. Though not overpowering, a strong hint of liquor for Mr.Holmes recent indulgence in said beverage, the empty glass sitting upon the beech mantle, with the smoldering coals of  the fire place. Mr.Holmes is sitting in his leather chair, with his unlit pipe in hand, while he obsesses over his latest case. The case of the...

The Cursed Mire                                                    Discontinued - In Vault

The scent of the cursed mire. Sherlock Holmes notices a distinct aura coming from the Mire. Not unpleasant, but a definitive smell of the surrounding lowlands immediately awakens Holmes' senses as to what this case, the case of Sir Henry Baskerville, will entail. Upon walking into a rather lowland upon the mire, Sherlock's boots sink into the peat and release a slight ooze of water from beneath him, this announced his presence. A gentle step to the thicker grass ceased the sound, yet a distance behind him the sounds continued. Sherlock crouched and turned around to discover someone...or something following him...

The Queen's Botanical                                            Discontinued - In Vault

Alas, a case that seems almost dismal for the extreme talents of the esteemed detective. While there are murders, conspirators and extremists amongst the citizens of London, the queen has requested, rather, insisted upon the efforts of Mr.Holmes in harnessing facts on what has happened to the beloved electric blue orchids recovered from the tropics of Africa. Mr.Holmes wanders upon the gardens which cover acres and acres. The Queens Guard has eradicated all the workers from the garden and have been posted upon the border to restrict onlookers.Holmes discovers a small pile of ash, perhaps a cigarette butt. Upon reading the remains "Murmons of New York" is apparent. A sound in the distance, digging, perhaps a pick axe, a shovel? Holmes slowly walks towards the trellis in the distance, upon the trail a fresh blood pool, not yet dried, and still slightly red, rich with oxygen. A loud click, one of a handgun being chambered most likely, erupts in the near distance, Sherlock reaches for his pistol, but remembers it to be held by the guards at the gates...

Freesoil Trail Orchard                                        Discontinued - In Vault

Our favorite time of the year, we would frequent the local orchard and mill, eating warm doughnuts, drinking fresh cider and taking deep breaths of the fresh autumn air. This snuff is fine ground, slightly moist and has those scents that remind you that harvest is near.

Tuscan SP                                                            Discontinued - In Vault

Our take on the classic of all time, The SP.  Though commonly referenced as Spanish Pride, as we understand it is most noteable described as Sheffield's Pride or Sheffield's Product. A recent info leak to us by a reputable contributor states " 'SP' comes from the name of what is believed to be the first snuff vendor in England, Sales and Pollard Regardless", this is neither English nor Spanish. It is our American take on the classic and most enjoyable snuff throughout History. We have combined genuine Bergamot (berg-uh-moe), Fennel and Italian Almond to formulate a sweet (without added sweetners), slightly moist, fine ground snuff.

The Black Spot                                                 Discontinued - In Vault
A special snuff designed after a tale from the ships sailing the East Indies in  the late 1700's. Word is - after a ship carrying a a 1/4 hogshead of a  strange ground flour; brown in color (what we believe to be tobacco) crashed into a coral reef, the sailors were instructed to remove items from the cargo hold to lessen the weight of the ship, so that at high tide the ship might become dislodged and be free to sail again. Upon emptying the cargo hold, the shipmate discovered the tops of the hogsheads had become loosened, and different spices and flours has become mixed together. The sailors collected what they could, repackaged it and tossed it aside onto the nearby island reef. Months later, a group of marauders discovered the reclaimed stash and labeled it with a large black splotch of ink, figuring it to be gunpowder. Upon opening the hogshead, they discovered the pacific aged spiced flour and began to consume this powder and it brought upon them good feeling.

- Fast forward to the 21st century and we've recreated to the best of our abilities, the snuff before-mentioned. We are doing a special run on this as it's very difficult (and thus expensive) to get the needed ingredients. It's a time consuming process mimicking the aging process here in the upper midwest but we've mastered it, carefully.
